no sales for us, no FVF for you"

I agree with worldwide_ship's statement "One day it's just like a switch goes off and my store goes dead". For us, sales this year overall have been considerably better, especially since attaining PS & TRS levels which would have pushed our items up in search presumably. Each successive month has been an increase and this month was on track to show a possible 25-30% increase over February. However, last week showed signs of slowing leading into this weekend which has been absoulely dismal.

Where my opinion would differ from worldwide_ship's is in writing it off in general to the time of year. I might agree with that in the case of larger sellers with 100's of items listed that included a large percentage of seasonal products. In our case, we're a very small seller that lists a very few select items covering a small range of product groups that have historically been consistent sellers regardless of the seasonal changes. On an average we gain 50% of our sales in any given week during the weekend days and number of sales for March were already greater than all of February coming into this weekend. So far this weekend we've had 4 sales. February total sales were 96 and coming into this weekend they were at 109 for March already. And to have only 4 sales since Friday evening is just a bit more than odd.

But this is Sunday morning so we'll see what happens today but having been around here for a number of years, my gut tells me somewhere, somehow, something got "flipped off". We do this for enjoyment more than profit although we''re not saying we don't enjoy the small additional income. But if their is "switch flipping" taking place on eBay's part because some group of people think they know what's best for eBay then all we can say to that is ... "no sales for us, no FVF for you".
